Homemade Lasagna!

Tonight, I made Homemade Lasagna for the first time! In my last post, I talked about the homemade pasta that was in my freezer, part of which I made into lasagna sheets. To make this a truly homemade lasagna, I also made my own Homemade Tomato Sauce. After making this sauce today, I think I want to stop buying store bought sauce. Not only was it simple to make, but it tasted absolutely delicious. Next time, I will add more spices and let it cook for hours in order to develop more flavor. One tip that helps give depth to your sauce is adding a parmesan rind into the sauce while it simmers. With the lasagna filling, I added sautéed spinach, ricotta, fresh mozzarella and lots of Italian spices. I layered the pan with homemade noodles, homemade sauce, ricotta filling and topped with more shredded Italian Cheese. For my first Homemade Lasagna, I was happy with how it turned out. I look forward to the next time I make it, so that I can figure out how to make it outstanding!
