When I go out to dinner, I usually try to go somewhere with food that I cannot easily replicate at home, and one of my absolute favorites is Hibachi! Traditionally known as a Teppanyaki Grill, this is a Japanese Style of cooking where you cook on a flat iron grill or plate. Tonight, I went to Domo 77, a family owned Teppanyaki Grill restaurant in the Chicagoland Area, specifically in Aurora. I have been to a variety of Hibachi restaurants, some family owned and some chains, but Domo 77 has always stayed as my favorite. My family and I go to this restaurant at least once a year to celebrate one another’s birthdays or to celebrate something special in our lives. Not only is the food incredible, but the staff is warm and accommodating. The wonderful owner, Eddy, goes table to table to get personal with each customer. For birthdays, he will sing a Happy Birthday song with fun backing tracks. He also came up to my table, where no one had a birthday, and invited us to pick a song to sing Karaoke. After the song, he also gave all of us a free Japanese Soda Drink, called Ramune, to take home with us. The exceptional service and food make this restaurant a must go to!
