Dinner from my Neighbor!

Tonight, my neighbor brought over some delicious homemade brisket! When Zach and I moved in over the summer, we got talking with our new neighbor who mentioned that he would love to do some grill outs over the summer. The summer was busy for all of us, so we never got the chance. Since the weather has been nice, he wanted to get the grill out before the weather starts to cool down for the season. He grilled up some delicious brisket and was sweet enough to bring over a large plate. I first tried a piece, and it was smoky, tender and expertly spiced. He also gave us some BBQ sauce to eat it with, which was rich, tangy, and accented the brisket beautifully. I had a large portion of brisket for dinner tonight and my belly is happy. I was able to thank him with some of the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins I baked the other night, and he was excited to try them. If you want to get to know your neighbors, start by knocking on their door, especially with a tasty treat in hand, and introduce yourself. In this world, community is essential and it is a privilege to build connections with others. People are all we have, so I encourage you to branch out and introduce yourself to someone new. Who knows, maybe they will surprise you when you come home from work with a plate of brisket or another tasty meal!
